The Pressure Of Going To Interviews And Applying For Jobs Can Be A Thing Of History

December 17th, 2009 | by Sydney |

When you are searching for work, for whatever reason, the task of searching through jobs; Online Jobs, jobs in the press, those found through networking, prospective searches, is very tiring. There is a necessity to keep your CV updated and be sure it matches any role you are applying for. Then, so many companies want you to fill out their own application form, your CV does not work for their requirements. All your endeavours would appear to be to no avail.

If you do get the process to their liking, you may be fortunate enough to be asked to attend for interview, at which time you spend hours finding out about the firm, their products and services, thinking up relevant questions for when they ask if you have any queries, not covered so far, and you don’t want to ask about pension funds. Then you need to consider some good reasons why you want to work for their firm – the fact they are the only ones who have requested you to come for interview in the last few months and you are ready to accept any job is probably not a good response, even if it is the truth.

After all that, you go to the interview and do not get the post, because you are not an ideal match – well could they not see that from the CV or application form you posted? It is very demoralising and you could well lose confidence in your own skills.

Look at it from another angle – what other choices are accessible for you? How would you wish to Work From Home, running your own Internet Business? Perhaps you like to be employed by somebody else, you are not adept at book keeping, but you still think you would enjoy Work From Home, well look through the web at the Online Jobs available to you, there are so many opportunities. Many of these roles need you to have nothing more than a computer and internet connection, which in all probability if you are searching on line, you already have.

If you did begin your own Internet Business, then you would not need to attend a job interview again. You would be your own boss, stating your own working hours, and being employed in a business for which you already have passion. The fact this also gives you the opportunity to Work From Home is the icing on the cake! You can have it all and in the process re-establish your self confidence.

I am sure there are some people who like looking for jobs, maybe make something of a hobby of applying for work while they are already in a good position, in case their next step up the ladder happens along. However, I think the majority of us see this as a performance, something to be got through in order to find our next post and hoping against hope that we will not need to bother with any of this stuff ever again. If you are one of these people, please take a look at the web and consider yourself for roles which you have never thought about before, merely by using search facilities to find out what chances are out there and available to you.
